At First Steps Learning Academy Revesby we understand that each child has unique and differing education and social needs. We tailor our care accordingly for children aged 2-5 years of age. Our amazing Revesby preschool Team are committed to further learning and are passionate about teaching and caring for children in their early learning years.
We make a commitment to our families that caring for their child is a partnership that we value and respect. Parent participation is encouraged in all aspects of our service and staff go out of their way to ensure contribution, feedback, ideas, time, and family experiences are incorporated into our daily learning activities.
Delwyn Buchan is our passionate and experienced Centre Manager, with over 15 years in the childcare industry.
Holding a Diploma in Children’s Services and currently pursuing a Bachelor of Teaching (0-5), Delwyn brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine commitment to early childhood education to our centre.
As a mother of two beautiful children, Delwyn draws constant inspiration and motivation from her family, ensuring that every child in her care receives the attention, support, and encouragement they need to thrive. Her leadership style is friendly, warm, and decentralised, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment for both staff and families.
Delwyn is deeply committed to creating a learning space where children are encouraged to explore, develop independence, and achieve their personal milestones. She believes in fostering a sense of curiosity in children, empowering them to take initiative and learn through their own discoveries.
Her philosophy is simple – every child deserves to feel valued, respected, and supported as they grow and learn. With Delwyn at the helm, you can be confident that your child will be nurtured in a safe and enriching environment that promotes holistic development.
We have a purpose-built School Readiness Room that delivers a stimulating and engaging curriculum, harnessing each child’s unique interests, abilities, and skills. We partner with local primary schools to ensure our learning program prepares children socially and emotionally for kindergarten. We enable our bright enquiring minds to grow and develop and take their first steps toward their future educational journey.
When you enter the Revesby Preschool service you instantly notice the warm, friendly team environment and the strong connections Educators have with the children and their families. The team create beautiful playful and harmonious environments that foster a strong sense of belonging amongst the children.
Being ready for school is more than just being able to read and write! At First Steps Learning Academy, we offer an extensive School Readiness Program, based on the Early Years Learning Framework that is focused on preparing children for the transition into primary school.
